Second bilateral interfaith dialogue between Serbia and Indonesia
The Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities of the Government of the Republic of Serbia has announced that the state religious delegation of the Republic of Serbia will pay an official visit to Indonesia from 22 to 26 October, where it will participate in the Second interfaith dialogue between Serbia and Indonesia.
The announcement says that Serbia has formed a state religious delegation that will represent Serbia at the interfaith dialogue with the Republic of Indonesia. The delegation comprises the Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities dr Mileta Radojevic and Serbian Patriarch Irinej.
The delegation also includes Assistant Director of the Office dr Dragan Novakovic, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar, Reis-ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community of Serbia, Effendi Adem Zilkic, the Rabbi of the Jewish Community in Serbia Isak Asiel and Mufti of Serbia and Imam of Belgrade, deputy Reis-ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community of Serbia Muhamed Jusufspahic.
The delegation also includes Vice-Dean of the Orthodox Theological Faculty in Belgrade prof. dr Dragomir Sando, coordinator of the bilateral inter-religious dialogue between Serbia and Indonesia and Chairman of the Association of Serbian- Indonesian Friendship “Nusantara” dr Aleksandar Rakovic and Editor in Chief of the Information Service of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Protodeacon Radomir Rakic.
The second bilateral interfaith dialogue between Serbia and Indonesia in Jakarta will also stage a conference on religious and cultural diversity, a lecture at the University Hidayatullah Sharif, the evening service in the Orthodox Church, the Friday prayer in the mosque, visit to the Islamic community, the Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church.
The Serbian delegation will be received by government officials – the President of the Republic of Indonesia and President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia. The delegation of the Republic of Serbia will also be received by the highest religious leaders of Indonesia, the announcement says.
