RECEPTION AT THE INDONESIAN RESIDENCE IN BELGRADE
On the occasion of the election of the new members of the Management Board of the Serbian – Indonesian Friendship Society „Nusantara“, the Indonesian Ambassador in Serbia, H.E. Mr. Muhammed Abduh Daimunthe, on May 8th, 2009, invited all members of the Society to an intimate dinner which lasted from 6pm to 10pm in friendship and fellowship with the members on the Indonesian community in Belgrade.
In his address, Ambassador Dalimunthe welcomed all the guests warmly and wished them a pleasant evening, and as a token of his appreciation for all efforts extended by the Society in bringing up the institutions of the two friendly countries into more closer relations, awarded a Plaque to the Chairman of the Society, Mr. Dragovan-Bata Lukić.
The Chairman of the Society, on behalf of all members of the Society, presented Mme Rahayu Dalimunthe, the spouse of the Ambassador, a souvenir, a product of the Serbian Glass Factory of Paraćin.
Nebojša Stojanović, CEO of the Society, on behalf of the Board and all the members of the Society, has expressed his gratitude to HE Ambassador M.A. Dalimunthe for organizing such a beautiful gathering and intimate reception, in which occassion has also expressed his sincere confidence and hope that the coming planned activities of the NUSANTARA Society would contribute to a better mutual understanding and relation of our two friendly countries.
This beautiful occasion was also made available to say good-bye to Mr. Mr. Armin Rahmat and his family, who was terminating his diplomatic mission in the Indonesian Embassy in Belgrade, and wished him all the best of luck in his new assignment.
In the first part of the program of the evening, members of the Indonesian community presented some national songs, while in the second, members of the Society, Nebojša Pavlović, trumpet, Boris Vančev, piano and Marko Jelic, tenor, presented some works of Scarlatti, Bach and Rossini.
The friendship and fellowship lasted in good mood, enjoying in the Indonesian national culinary and entertained with songs and music by the tambourine orchestra, which players are friends of the „Nusantara“ Society from Pančevo.
