INDONESIAN STUDENTS VISITED BELGRADE COLLEGE OF TOURISM
At the initiative of the Association of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship „Nusantara“, the Belgrade College of Tourism welcomed a group of Indonesian students studying in Serbia.
Students Asni Furaida, Willyam Noveri and Adi Bramasti were the guests of Belgrade College of Tourism on Wednesday, 10 July 2013 and talked about their experience in our country.
The Government of the Republic of Serbia within the project „World in Serbia“ has been awarding the scholarships to students from Asian, Africa and Latin American countries – members of the Non-Aligned Movement at the faculties of the University of Belgrade.
Six Indonesian students are currently studying in Serbia.
These students – class 2010 and 2011 – arestudying at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Faculty of Security Studies and the Faculty of Agriculture.
The presentation of these young Indonesians at the Belgrade College of Tourism included a film about their stay in Serbia, which they themselves filmed and directed.
Host students had the opportunity to ask questions to their Indonesian colleagues, which, in turn, were impressed by their hospitality. They were pleased to visit the premises of Belgrade College of Tourism and get familiar with its curriculum and studying conditions.
Indonesian students were received by the College Director Professor Milan Skakun, and Assistant Directors Snezana Stetic PhD and Milenko Djuric MA.
Belgrade Chronicles, Radio Television Serbia reported on the presentation and stay of these three students at the Belgrade College of Tourism.
On this occasion, Assistant Director for Development and International Cooperation, Mr Milenko Djuric presented the award to the Association of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship “Nusantara” for the successful cooperation with the College. The award was received by the General Secretary of The Association, Mr Marko Jelic.
In April this year, „Nusantara“ played an important part in the realization of a very successful visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia HE Mr Semuel Samson to the Belgrade College of Tourism.
Last week, the Belgrade City Library in cooperation with „Nusantara“ Association organized a very successful and well covered presentation „Serbia up-close“ with six Indonesian students presenting their experiences about the student life in Serbia.
