INDONESIAN AMBASSADOR IN LOZNICA IN THE EVENT OF „INDONESIA DAYS IN LOZNICA“
On the initiative of the Serbian-Indonesian Association of Friendship “Nusantara” from Belgrade and the Centre of Culture “Vuk Karadžić” from Loznica, the Indonesian Ambassador in Belgrade, H.E. Muhammed Abduh Dalimunthe, accompanied by his closest associates, has paid a visit to the city of Loznica. At 5pm the Ambassador met the representatives of the local government headed by Mr. Petar Ekmeščić, Vice Mayor, Mr. Jovica Todorović, Chairman of the City Assembly, Ms. Miroslava Pejica, MP of Serbia and Ms. Dajana Đedović, Director of Culture Centre “Vuk Karadžić”. Representing the Association, the visit was also attended by Mr. Dragovan-Bata Lukić, President of the Association, Mr. Nebojša Stojanović, Chairman of Management Board and Mr. Marko Jelić, Association Secretary General.
Following the meeting, a press conference was held in which was said that it was the first visit to Loznica of an Indonesian Ambassador ever since the establishment of the diplomatic relation of the two countries in the middle of the last century. The participants of the meeting have agreed that the culture is an excellent means to make peoples living distantly and their traditions, more closer to each other. However, at the same time, it also presents an excellent opportunity to, then, develop the economic cooperation as well. It’s been also stressed that the relations between the two countries are very good, and that Indonesia is one of the majority of countries in the world which has not recognized the illegally proclaimed independence of Kosovo i Metohija and which defends the respect of the International Law. The Ambassador has given answers to the questions put by the local media.
After the press conference, at 6pm the delegation attended the opening of the painting exhibition of Dragana Mladenović, Tanja Đokić and Tamar Senekar, young Serbian artists, former scholars of the Indonesian Government, who had joined successfully the training in culture and arts. The exhibition was opened by Ms. Dajana Đedović, Director of the Culture Centre “Vuk Karadžić”. At the opening of the exhibition some songs were presented by the Church Children Choir “Sveti Sava” from Loznica conducted by Professor Dragan Đedović, member of the Serbian-Indonesian Association of Friendship “Nusantara”, who, for this special occasion, had prepared two compositions: “Gusta mi magla padnala” (Thick fogs have fallen over me) a folk-song from Kosovo i Metohija, while the other one was the surprise of the evening: “Ampar-ampar Pisang” an Indonesian song from the Province of South of Kalimantan. Following the program that evening, Ms. Marija Savin, member of the Association, publisher and travel-writer, has organized for those who were interested in, a music-visual presentation of Indonesia, with light music and photos on her stay in Indonesia.
The meeting was concluded in a cordial fellowship at the restaurant “Europe” in Loznica.
