The Serbian-Indonesian Friendship Society „Nusantara“ at the exclusive BG „Kovilovo“ Sport’s Centre, near Belgrade, has organized Friendship Day of Serbia and Indonesia.

Those who have been maintaining friendship between the two geographical distant countires among them are businessmen, politicians, working cultural and sports fields as well as ordinary ones who have been cooperating for more than half a century have met and shared fellowship together.

Beside the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, HE Muhamad Abduh Dalimunthe and his spouse, the meeting has also been attended by the diplomats and other employees of the Indonesian embassy, Serbian businessmen and those dealing in the fields of culture, members of the Indonesian colony in Belgrade and members of the Friendship Society of the two countries as well.

In the course of the already traditional meeting of the friends of Serbia and Indonesia some competitions have been organized in mini football, volley ball, tennis, badminton, table tennis and chess.

The plain surroundings, accompanied by the rlaxing sound of tamburine orchestra – friends from Panceva, and the traditional dishes of Vojvodina, have contributed to make this event unforgetable and to remain long in good memories, some of the participants noted.

The participants have also inspected the exhibition of paintings which, in the course of the day, had been painted by the children of the diplomats and other Indonesians’ living in Belgrade.

The successful event was possible and enabled thanks to the donations by the friends of the Serbian-Indonesian Friendship Society „NUSANTARA“: „Energoprojekt“ holding company, „Borba“ printing house, DC „Energoccop“, „Dinara“ A.D. and „Praktika Press“ D.O.O. news-publishing house.
