Celebrating fifty-five years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Yugoslavia (Serbia) and Indonesia and fifty years since the first Conference of Non-Aligned Movement held in Belgrade, and on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the Association of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship “NUSANTARA” in cooperation with “Ikar” gallery in the House of Aviation in Zemun, organized the exhibition of its painter members under the name “Dreaming of Indonesia from Serbia” from October 5 to 17, 2011.

On October 5, 2011 at the exhibition opening night the guests were addressed by: on behalf of the host, Mrs. Tatjana Surlic, Head of Public Relations of the House of Aviation, on behalf of the Association, Mr. Milan Korica, Chairman of the Board, and in front of the exhibition selectors – Prof. Mr. Marko Ladjusic. Among the guests were the wife of Indonesian Ambassador, Ms. Samson Iyah, diplomats of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia – Defence Attaché of the Republic of Indonesia, Colonel Agoes Joesni, Economy Attaché, Mr. Eko Himawan, Culture Attache Ms Ariana Kurniawan, Communication Attaché, Mr. Yudi Tetra Mulayam, head of administration, Mrs. Prima Setiani as well as members of Indonesian community in Serbia, a large number of guests, members and friends of the Association.

“NUSANTARA” Association has nearly thirty artists among its members, and twenty of them: Branko Grujic, Dragan Zivaljevic, Vesna Papaz, Tanja Djokic, Nedeljka Vasic, Alfred Pezelj, Sofija Zivanovic, Snezana Milanovic Naumovic, Ljubisa Stojimirovic, Dragoslava Stankovic, Ljiljana Nedeljkovic, Milan Cvijanovic, Branka Gostovic, Vlada Zoric, Vera Blagojevic Pazinovic, Ivana Andrejic, Tamara Senekar, Nada Jankovic, Dragan Mladenovic and Jelica Pejdic gave this exhibition to the citizens of Belgrade with great pleasure.

Thanks to donors and friends – S & T Serbia, Korny engineering, scientific IHIS Institute of Technology – the Association has successfully organized the exhibition.

Thanks to the efforts of the Association members, excerpts from the press releases were broadcasted by many electronic media, “Tanjug” news agency, as well as daily newspapers “Politika”, “Blic”, “24 hours”. RTS and RTV PINK recorded the exhibition opening and broadcast it in the new.
