EXHIBITION “BELGRADE – JAKARTA SINCE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS UNTIL TODAY” OPENED IN ZAJECAR

Successfully organized exhibition of the Archives of Yugoslavia “Belgrade – Jakarta since the establishment of diplomatic relations until today”, was officially opened on 14th March 2014 at the National Museum of Zajecar. At the reception spoke director of National Museum Bora Dimitrijevic, vice president Archive of Yugoslavia Miladin Milosevic, head of the Administrative District of Zajecar Vladan Paunovic, assistant mayor of Zajecar Milomir Dinic, as well as His Excellency Ambassador of Indonesia in Serbia Samuel Samson who opened this exhibition. On this opening on behalf of the Serbian-Indonesian Friendship NUSANTARA was general secretary Marko Jelic.

The exhibition features some of the most important documents that were signed by officials of Indonesia and the former Yugoslavia, today Serbia. Otherwise, the documents exhibited to the audience are only part of the archival material preserved in the Archives of Yugoslavia. It is also planned that the same exhibition is presented to Indonesian audience on November 2014 in Jakarta.

“I am very glad to be in Zajecar again, especially because this year we celebrate 60 years of bilateral relations with your wonderful country and this is a friendly visit”, said Ambassador Samson thanking to the Mayor of Zajecar for the warm welcome. Mayor of Zajecar Velimir Ognjenovic expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador Samson by giving His Excellency the head statue of the Roman Emperor Galerius. Mayor of Zajecar emphasizing that it is personal gift which will always remind His Excellency on Zajecar.

After the reception at the City Administration of Zajecar, guests from Indonesian Embassy, The Archives of Yugoslavia and the Serbian – Indonesian Friendship NUSANTARA visited The Faculty of Management in Zajecar where His Excellency had a lecture on the topic “1960’s anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belgrade and Jakarta. After this lecture, guests visited National Museum, House of Radul –beg and archeological site Felix Romuliana.
