excursion to zvizd and homolje mountains

On Saturday, 3 October 2020, NUSANTARA organized the last excursion this year taking all protective measures against COVID-19.

After a break in the restaurant “Zlatna košuta” in Petrovac na Mlavi, with a view of the river Mlava, the excursionists visited the Vitovnica Monastery, which dates from the 13th century and is one of the jewels of Serbian medieval architecture. After the words of welcome and a tour of the Vitanovac gorge, with a holy water spring, the excursionists visited the well-known Ceremošnja Cave, which is one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Serbia, a true pearl of speleology.

Not far from the cave, in the restaurant of the Trailović family, travelers tasted the traditional food of Homolje: trout and “Vlach” lunch.

Thanks to Jelena Bogdanović, a kind tourist guide from the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Kučevo, the travelers visited Jelena stena, a tourist attraction of Kučevo, with a beautiful viewpoint and a view of the Kučevo valley, Zvižd and Homolje Mountains.
