The Avala tower was lit in the colours of the Indonesian flag
The Association of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship NUSANTARA, which for 21 years already keeps maintaining the good relations between our peoples and our two countries, in collaboration with the Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia Beograd, organized a reception for the representatives of the international public and state bodies, organizations and institutions of the Republic of Serbia, as well as entrepreneurs who do business between these two friendly countries, on the occasion of the 70 years of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Indonesia.
As a particular gesture of attention towards our guests from Indonesia, with the help of its administration, the Avala tower was lit in the colours of the flag of Indonesia, which was broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Embassy of Indonesia, followed by all the most important state institutions in Indonesia.
To the present ones, The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Serbia, His Excellency Mochammad Chandra Widya Judha addressed, by pointing out that he supports the work of The Association of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship with great pleasure, because the work and firmness of the members of the association increases the strength of the friendship and colorful cultural exchange.
He then added that through exchange and understanding, the mutual future of two friendly peoples is built and that we must remember the importance of these bonds in a world that is divided. He thanked the members of the association for their dedicated work and wished for many more years of friendship, cooperation and celebrations between the two great nations.
Vuk Mirčetič, president of the Association of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship Nusantara, expressed his great satisfaction that the association has many friends, just as Serbia has Indonesia. He emphasized that the gathering on the occasion of marking 70 years of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Indonesia was declared by the Society as the Day of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship and in honor of the great friendship, the Avala tower lit up in the colors of the flag of the Republic of Indonesia. Then he pointed out that it is very important to show that Serbia has friends, that it has someone to rely on in the moments that follow, which will be extremely difficult, and added that in the talks with Ambassador Mochammad Chandra Widya Judha, he was convinced that Indonesia will not change its position on the issue of Kosovo, that it will support the territorial integrity of Serbia and will not support the recognition of the so-called Kosovo and its admission to international institutions. In the end, he pointed out that the association will continue to strive for the friendship between the two peoples to be even stronger in the future.
