On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Indonesia, the Association of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship NUSANTARA, at the invitation of the Association of Tourism Professionals of Zrenjanin, and in cooperation with the Tourist Organization of the City of Zrenjanin and “Toša Jovanović” National Theatre in Zrenjanin, an exhibition of photographs “Jubilee of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship” was opened at “Toša Jovanović” National Theatre in Zrenjanin on Wednesday, 19 February 2020, at 6 p.m. The opening was attended by members of the Association of Tourism Professionals of Zrenjanin, tourist guides, as well as numerous citizens.

After the opening of the exhibition, in a small hall of the National Theatre, a world traveller and travelogue writer, Viktor Lazić hosted a travelogue evening “The booklover and father of modern Indonesia – Mohammad Hatta” where he talked about one of the founding fathers of the Republic of Indonesia and the signer of the proclamation of independence. “I am also honoured to have Mohammad Hatta’s daughter, Halida as a friend. Mr Hatta was a founder of modern Indonesia with Sukarno. He was the first vice-president of independent Indonesia and later its prime minister, as well as a minister in several governments. He was the biggest Indonesian bibliophile, an honest man, who spent all his money on books and helping others. One of the few people in politics who gave everything to his country and took nothing from it,” said Lazić to the Zrenjanin portal ilovezrenjanin.com.
