THE PRESENTATION “TO LIVE AS A STUDENT IN INDONESIA” SUCCESSFULLY PERFORMED BY ALEKSA PANIĆ
The Association of Serbo-Indonesian friendship “Nusantara” and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to Serbia, along with the Belgrade City Library organized Aleksa Panić’s presentation “To live as a student in Indonesia”, the student of the Singidunum University and the IMC FH Krems University, on the occasion of 70 years of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. The presentation was heldon Thursday, May 28th 2015.
After several months which he spent on the internship at Indonesian hotels, young Panić gained unforgettable experiences which were very important for realizing and understanding different ways of education and opportunities for development of workers and managers in Indonesia’s tourism and hospitality industry. From that point, he is the first student of his University who had opportunity to live and work in Indonesia.
Time in Indonesia was the opportunity for him to visit and to meet different parts of the biggest archipelago in the world. Therefore, the members of “Nusantara” and numerous guests had the opportunity to hear stories and experiences from this student, who worked and lived in Indonesia even nearby orangutans. He explained to the audience how it was to leave the home and go more than 10 000 km away from his family and his friends, and moreover, he provided the explanation how he decided to go so far away, to unknown environment and what he has seen and experienced during that trip.With lot of positive experiences and interesting situations which he faced during his stay in Indonesia, he transferred the positive energy and warmness which he has gotten there. The culture, the customs, the language, the tourism, the food, the relationship with the foreigners, everyday life of the local people were just some of the topics of the presentation “To live as a student in Indonesia”.
The friendships and connections that he made there are now strong and stable bridges between his family and the people of Indonesia.
Attendees were welcomed by the Secretary General Marko Jelic. The presentationin behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to Serbia was attended by theCultural Attaché, the third Secretary in the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Habadi H. Soewedo and attaché for the economy, the first Secretary in the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Yogo Pamungkas.
The Serbo-Indonesian company IndoSerbiaFood provided for the audience appropriate gifts of its products which are more and more popular on the Serbian market. At the end, the gathering was continued at the cocktail.
