MEMBERS OF NUSANTARA ASSOCIATION SIGNED A BOOK OF CONDOLENCE
On the occasion of the death of the Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of The Republic of Indonesia, Muhamad Taufiq Kiemas, senior officials of the Republic of Serbia as well as the members of the Association of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship “Nusantara” signed a book of condolence.
National Assembly Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic, members of the Board of Nusantara Association, its Chairman Dr Aleksandar Raković, members of the Association and the members of the Indonesian Community in Serbia all signed the book of condolences at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia which was opened from 10 to 12 June 2013.
Muhammad Taufin Kemas passed away at the age of 70 in Singapore on 8 June 2013.
A longtime politician and member of the national parliament, Muhammad Taufin Kemas was the husband of Megawati Sukarnoputri, president of Indonesia (2001 – 2004) and daughter of Ahmed Sukarno (1901-1970), one of the founders of this Southeast Asian country and its first president.
