THE SERBIAN-INDONESIAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION „NUSANTARA“ AGM AND PRESENTATION OF THE SITE OF THE „NUSANTARA“ ASSOCIATION HELD
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Serbian-Indonesian Association, besides all its members, was also attented by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Belgrade, H.E. Muhammed Abduh Dalimunthe. As a guest, was also present Ms. Nada Dragić, the newly assigned diplomat to the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Jakarta.
The meeting has adopted the report on the activities of the Association in the period of June 2008 to March 2009, and the decision on certain amendments and supplements to the Statute of the Association.
For the Chairman of the Association „Nusantara“ the meeting has elected Mr. Dragovan-Bata Lukić and also agreed and to elect a new Managing Board and for its Chairman has been elected Dipl. El. Eng. Nebojša Stojanović, Director of „DC Energocoop“ company, for the Vice Chairmen have been elected Mr. Monang-Riko Pandjaitan, profesor, and Mr. Borislav Korkodelović, journalist of Tanjug News Agency. Mr. Marko Jelić, a student, has been elected Secretary General of the Association. For the members of the new Board have also been elected Ms. Marija Savin, publisher and travel-writer, Ms. Branka Gostović, Art-Historian and painter, Mr. Alex Diponegoro, employee of the Defence Attache’s Office at the Indonesian Embassy in Belgrade and Mr. Selimir Milošević, football coach.
In his address, HE Ambassador M.A. Dalimunthe greeted all members and guests, congratulating the newly elected leadership of the Association and wished them much success in carrying out their job to bring up closer and strengthen friendly relations and cooperation of Serbia and Indonesia.
The Ambassador has also expressed his gratitude for all activities of the Association contributing significant bridge in the link up of economic and cultural institutions of our two countries. He has also expressed his readiness, that in all future projects, to render assistance to the successful work of the Association. The Ambassador has also expressed his confidence that there still enough room to promote economic relations and cooperation in to higher extend, for which exist goodwill of the two governemtns, which would create much better conditions for the development of cultural and scientifical cooperation of the two countries.
The Ambassador has also reiterated that the Association „Nusantara“ has proved an excellent example of how to nourish good and friendly relations between Serbia and Indonesia.
Upon the conclusion of the meeting, the donors and sponsors of the Association have joined the members of the Association and in a thrity-minute presentation, officially and for the first time in Serbia was put in function the WebSite of the Serbia-Indonesian Association of Friendship „Nusantara“ www.nusantara.rs and continued with a cocktail in a cordial fellowship.
